About Scoutalist
Scoutalist scouts a purchase for people who've never made it before and writes down what matters.
The first topic is a baby's first Halloween. Three first-time parents asked for the same thing: what an experienced parent would say before they spent money, what to look for, what to skip, what nobody warns you about, and where the advice came from.
How a page gets made
Every page starts with a question a real person asked. Sources are primary where they exist (pediatric and safety organizations, manufacturer specs, the stores' own listings) and experienced parents where they don't. Every page lists its sources and the date it was last checked. Commission rates play no part in what gets recommended.
AI tools draft and organize. People decide what goes on the page and are responsible for it.
Limits
Products are research summaries, not hands-on tests, and the pages say so. Prices live on the store's page, where they're current. Scoutalist sells nothing itself.
How we make money
Scoutalist is reader-supported. If you buy through a link on this page we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. It does not change what we recommend, and several options on our pages earn us nothing. Full disclosure.
Scoutalist is published by The Scoutalist team.
